“The Book Covered In Mud – Reality and fiction from 1966 flood of the Arno river up to this day”: that is the title of the meeting held on November 3rd 2015 at the antique books dealer “Libreria Gonnelli 1875” (via Ricasoli 6 – 14r, Florence), member of the Italian Historic Companies Association.
The event offered the opportunity to compare the observations and experiences of Marco Vichi and Leonardo Gori (writers), Paolo Ciampi (journalist), Piero Innocenti (former librarian of the National Library of Florence), and Libero Rossi (restorer at that same library). Roberto Maini moderated the conference, and Lorenzo Degl’Innocenti read some excerpts from the books “Death in Florence” by Marco Vichi and “The Mud Angel” by Leonardo Gori.
