An exhibition and a book celebrating the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence

“Opera viva” is the title of the photo exhibition and the book that from 6th November to 8th December 2015 paid homage to the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore and its workers. A small army of over one hundred people is involved, as now, in an extraordinary collective effort to preserve the artistic and cultural heritage represented by Florence Cathedral, the Baptistery, Giotto’s Campanile and the New Cathedral Museum, which reopened to the public on 29th October.

Artists, restorers, employees and guards give life to a gallery of portraits shot by Michele Pecchioli (photographer and Creative Director of Aria Advertising), whose work is the result of a human and professional synergy with Nicholas Donzelli (among other things, owner of Toccafondi Graphic Arts 1910, UISI member).

The exhibition was held in the multi-purpose space of the new Museo dell’Opera del Duomo (Great Museum of the Cathedral) in Florence.
