An important witness on “work”, the more than one-hundred-year-old dimension of which has found its ideal setting within the 2008 Tuscan Festival, thanks to the initiative in which UIST – Unione Imprese Storiche Toscane was the protagonist. During the week of 23-30 November 2008, a total of 16 historic companies from Florence, Siena and Livorno opened their doors to visitors, offering guided tours inside an economic, cultural and social heritage that has characterized the history of our region from the early centuries of the second millennium down to our days.
